Fresh Start Program

The Fresh Start program utilizes a Restorative Justice Model. The prosecuting attorney’s goal is that the offender commits to a plan of action that provides: 

​​

• Accountability for the offense. 

• Opportunity to demonstrate a change in behavior, and the ability to repair the harm, or right the wrong.

• Commitment to community service to impress upon the offender that although their behavior may not seem to have impacted the community, it has.

• Community service will help them repair the harm.

All Restorative Practices must be completed within 30 days, there will be no extensions.
